AMPICILLIN 20%
Composition:
Each 1 gm contains: Ampicillin ( as trihydrate ) 200 mg
Properties:
Ampicillin is an antibiotic from the penicillin group it affects the gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria. It is indicated for the intestinal and urinary system infections.
Uses:
Treatment for bacterial infections caused by gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria, such as E. Coli, Salmonella, Clostridia, Brucella, Pasteurella, Staphylococcus which affect the poultry and different animals.
Dosage:
poultry: Prevention: 1 gm per 4 litres of drinking water for 3-5 days. Treatment: 1 gm per 2 litres of drinking water for 3-5 days. Other animals: 1 - 2.5 gm per 10 kg of body weight mixed with drinking water, milk, or in daily feed.
Contra-indications / Side Effects:
Do not give it for big ruminants.
Withdrawal Time:
Treatment should be stopped at least 2 days before bird, or animals slaughtering.
Storage:
In a dry, cool, and dark place between 15 - 25 °C.
