AMPISITIN FORTE
Composition:
Each 1 gm contains: Ampicillin (as Trihydrate) 500 mg Colistin (as Sulphate) 800 0001.U.
Properties:
Ampicillin is a broad spectrum semi synthetic penicillin derivative bactericidal antibiotic, possessing the typical activity of penicillin against gram-positive bacteria, but having greatly enhanced activity against gram negative bacteria. Colistin belongs to polypeptide antibiotics (Polymixin), is highly effective against gram-negative bacteria. Colistin has a synergistic action when combined with Ampicillin or some other Antibacterial.
Uses:
Poultry: Bacterial infections caused by gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria: Streptococcus, Staphylococcus, Corynebacterium, Clostridium, E.coli, Klebsiella, Salmonella, Proteus and spirochetosis
Dosage:
poultry: 1 mg per 5-10 liters of drinking water daily for 4-5 days
Contra-indications / Side Effects:
Are not common at usual dosages. (Do not use orally for large animals)
Withdrawal Time:
animals and birds should not be slaughtered within 3 days from the last highly effective against gram-negative treatment bacteria.
Storage:
In a dry, cool, and dark place between 15 - 25 °C.
