Composition:
Each 1 gm contains: Ampicillin (as Trihydrate) 500 mg
Properties:
Ampicillin is a broad spectrum semi synthetic antibiotic, possessing the typical activity of penicillin against gram positive bacteria, but having greatly enhanced activity against gram negative bacteria.
Uses:
Poultry: Bacterial infections caused by gram positive and gram negative bacteria; Streptococcus, Staphylococcus, Corynebacteria, Clostridium, E.coli, Klebsiella, Salmonella, Proteus, and Spirocheta. Large animals: Calf scour. Pneumonia, Calf
Dosage:
Poultry: 1 g per 5 liters of drinking water daily for 4-5 days. Large animals: 10 -25 mg of body weight daily for 4-5
Contra-indications / Side Effects:
Are not common at usual dosages.
Withdrawal Time:
Animals and birds should not be slaughtered within 7 days from the last treatment.
Storage:
In a dry, cool, and dark place between 15 - 25 °C.
